…or…that wonderful intersection in sports that is September – baseball season narrowing down to the post-season and the start of hockey season. (Well, unofficial start of hockey season…but I’ll take what I can get!)
Today my husband and I woke up before the crack of dawn and dragged ourselves out of a cozy bed…all in the name of hockey! We traveled about 1.5 hours northeast to wait in line for a little over an hour to enter the Compton Family Ice Arena, housed on the beautiful Notre Dame campus.
Ok, I’ll stop being dramatic. We were there to watch the Chicago Blackhawks training camp/team scrimmages! Huzzah! There is no bad seat in this wonderful arena, but we were able to snag a pretty great place to watch the action unfold.
Scattered among the new guys working their tails off to earn a spot on the roster, are the fan favorites…
…like Patrick Sharp…
…and Marian Hossa…
…and this guy, who isn’t new to hockey, but new to the team…
Best $10 I’ve ever spent! 🙂
