One of our wellness programs at work is through a company called Keas (LOVE them…they make improving health and wellness fun!) and each week during the challenge, we are to choose goals.
This week I decided to pick the Gratitude List…and while I’m a big believer in expressing gratitude on a daily basis, not just because of a work thing, this week is special to me in that it’s the 1st anniversary of when I was officially diagnosed with endometriosis. 🙂
Day 1 – “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” -William Osler
On this day last year I was prepping for diagnostic surgery to determine if I have endometriosis…I was 64 ounces into a bottle of lemon-lime nastiness and so hungry I could eat anything in sight. I am super thankful for my doctor finding his way into my life. His knowledge and experience with endometriosis helps me trust him fully, and he exhibits compassion and warmth toward his patients to make them relaxed and more comfortable.
